Kaari Upson is an American artist. She was born in 1972 in San Bernardino, California and now day lives and works in Los Angeles. During his career as an artist, she participated in a number of art projects that include paintings, films, performances, and installations. She is known for exploring themes of psychoanalysis, obsession, memory, and the body. Her works can be found at Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Whitney Museum of American Art in NYC and Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.
Early Life and Education of Kaari Upson
Kaari Upson attended various art colleges during her career as an artist. In 2003 She attended California Institute of Arts as an undergraduate and received her BFA in 2004 and her MFA in 2007. “The Larry Project”- an art project, which she started while as a student, inspired by a collection of one man’s personal items she found in 2003 she exhibited a portion of the project as part of her MFA thesis.
Kaari Upson being a renowned artist participated in a number of exhibitions where she displayed her artwork before the public. She participated in a number of solo exhibitions around the USA and the world and also in group exhibitions.
