Maurice Marciano was the co-founder, along with his brothers, of GUESS – one of the biggest fashion companies in the world. It started with denim for women and is now a company that sells a lifestyle – fashion and accessories for kids, men and women.
Maurice had retired from GUESS in 2012, to make time to his real passion: wine and art.
In 2006 he purchased a vineyard in California where he built the Marciano Estate winery where he makes different kinds of wine.
Over the years Maurice and Paul loved art and were collecting it, especially Impressionist arts.
Later they were fascinated by the Contemporary art and decided to make it possible to world to enjoy the art – as much as they do.
Maurice owns a variety of pieces by well-known artists, such as Takashi Murakami and Sterling Ruby, and “soon to be known” California artists.
In 2013, Maurice and Paul bought a Scottish Rite Masonic Temple on Wilshire Boulevard, and transformed it to their own “Marciano Art Foundation”, in 2017.
