Paul Marciano was the co-founder, along with his brothers, of GUESS.
Paul and his brothers came from Marseille in the south of France to Los Angeles for a vacation. But, after a week and half there, they realized that this was the place they wanted to be and live the American dream.
Art and artistic pictures ran in his veins since he was at a small age and it burst out when he was in charge of the creative marketing and advertising of GUESS.
He was the driving force behind the brand’s ads, and he put GUESS on the map with his unique black and white ad campaigns. Paul also had an “eye” to find the next top model. Most of the models he featured in his campaigns became famous after that.
His love for the arts made him join his brother Maurice collecting unique pieces of artwork. This led to them buying together the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple on Wilshire Boulevard, making a “home” for their art and artists they support and to let their art accessible to anyone who wants
